About us
Buck Island is a hunting and research property nestled
into Minnesota's northwoods. Through the use of trail
cameras, record keeping and personal observations,
we have developed the Oh!
Deer mineral mix.  The good news is that now it is
available to you the hunter.

About Oh! Deer, from Buck Island's founder Kyle
McCollor.  "I started using salt blocks in the mid
nineties, because that's what my dad had used.  When
I did finally start using the current mineral mixes, on the
market, I quickly became disenchanted.  The cost was
high and the quality was low.  During the spring of
1999 I took matters into my own hands, and began
work on the Oh! Deer mineral mix.
